Flying Fish and Screeching Seagulls

Yesterday, April 11, Matt & Nora, Andy & Ben, Rachel and I took a trip to Seattle. The day was absolutely gorgeous. We started out with lunch at Ivar's, something we've always done when visiting the waterfront...

Rachel and I shared baby prawns and clamstrips..

That seagull had just grabbed a fry from Ben's fingers... luckily the finger didn't become part of his lunch as well!

We wandered through the Pike Place Market. The Fish Company was amazing, as always...

Fish were flying everywhere...

Baby Bok Choy...

Nora found a beautiful bouquet that reminded here of her wedding flowers...

We had some ice cream and relaxed for a few minutes before heading for home...

We stopped at Chloe's house so that Rachel could meet Camila... darn, I forgot to take any pictures of that cute little girl! And then back to Matt and Nora's for Matt's famous clam chowder.

Before I knew it, it was time to say good-bye to Rachel, since she was heading home at the crack-of-dawn Saturday morning. It was a fantastic visit, and I was so thankful that she had been able to be here with us during this time of sadness, but also of joy, and oh, so many memories.
