Yesterday I held my breath, put on my gloves, and tackled the task of cleaning out the space where the washer/dryer had been. It was a mess of water-saturated mouse poop. When the broken pipes spewed out their water, they turned the mouse poop into a kind of sludgy mud.... ugh! I sprayed the concoction with antibacterial spray, wiped with paper towels, and after about four times of doing so, I think it is finally clean. We will cover it with something, but for now, at least we won't be living with mouse leavings.
After that was done, I moved down the hall to the bedroom and painted the second and final coat to the trim between the hallway and the bedroom. I used the cornichon green color to tie together the blue of the bedroom and the yellow of the hallway...
I think I am finally done with the green paint. The next step, after we finish hooking up the new water pipes, will be painting the bathroom.
