84? No, you can't be!

We celebrated Mom's 84th birthday, as well as Larry & my ninth anniversary, at Anthony's, one of our absolute favorite places!

Larry & I arrived just a few minutes after five, due to the atrocious traffic, and found Mom and Margie  waiting in the lobby to be seated. Soon Cilla arrived, and our table was ready.

While we waited for Stacy, Gabe and Jessica, Margie and I each ordered a glass of Chardonnay, Larry had a beer, and Mom had some fancy raspberry concoction. I don't recall the name, but it looked delicious!

Margie and Mom - Two beautiful ladies!

We all had a fantastic time, even though we were missing Dad. I felt him there in spirit, though.
Anthony's was always such a special place to him - he did love his oysters! I'm glad we are able to carry on our tradition of celebrating our special moments here.

The "young folks" were having a lot of fun at their end of the table!

We all ordered the Sunset Dinners....

I had a shrimp cocktail appetizer...

and yes, I took pictures of all of my courses!

a sip of wine...

Caesar Salad with a couple grindings of pepper...

I was already full at this point!

There was still the salmon and shrimp. It was delicious. The rife pilaf was made with golden raisins and the green beans were nice and snappy! I tried my best to finish it all, but had a bit left  to take home to Duchess.

I realized I had forgotten to take pictures of the bread.
The light was just right as it came through the windows.

Mustn't forget the butter...

And then there was dessert! Larry and I had the Bailey's chocolate mousse, but when Margie gave him a taste of her burnt creme, he knew that's what he'd be having next time!
She even left him her bowl to clean out!

The mousse was pretty darn good, though!

I managed to scrape my bowl clean!

Jessica smiling pretty!

Thank you Mom (and Dad) for such a wonderful dinner.

We went back to Mom's house for the opening of presents and to relax in her beautiful backyard.

Margie looking as cute as ever, especially with her vintage necklace. I love it!

Mom enjoying her special day!

Sophie had to help, of course.

Thank you Mom for being such an amazing inspiration.
I don't know how you manage to do all that you do, and with such grace. I love you!
