Because of the snow and muddy road out of "Jackville", Larry hadn't been able to ride the motorcycle to work, as he had planned, and consequently drove my car every day, leaving me "locked up" in Jumbo for what seemed like an eternity. I have to admit, it was beginning to get to me, especially since I have no internet connection out here in the middle of the horse pasture. At least on most days, if I could get the generator to kick in, I could charge up my computer and get some work done on my book. It's a long process, since I have so many historical note to go over, but it's coming along! Both Duchess and I found ourselves sitting in the window each night as the time approached for Larry to come home from work, looking forward to the moment we saw him drive up the road.
Somehow, even though I only made it out of Jumbo on the weekends, I managed to come down with a cold. Maybe I picked up a stray germ in the laundromat. I soon discovered that the sofa in the living room makes for a pretty comfy place for a nap.
You can see a bit of the snowy driveway through the front window... and I have my ever-present cross-stitching project nearby on the table...the only thing that keeps me sane through the long days in Jumbo!
